# Alacritty Alternative for Mac: An App Like Alacritty

Canonical page: https://macbase.app/alternatives/alacritty

Fast, GPU-accelerated terminal emulator with simple defaults and a config file for tweaks.

Alacritty keeps things minimal, with no tabs or split panes and everything set in a config file. Alternatives add tabs, splits and settings windows, while still drawing with the GPU for speed and staying free and open source.
