# 1 Amphetamine alternative for Mac

Canonical page: https://macbase.app/alternatives/amphetamine

Free menu bar app that keeps your Mac awake, with triggers for apps, displays, downloads and more.

Amphetamine is very thorough, with more triggers and options than most people will ever touch. Alternatives keep it to one click in the menu bar, or are open source and small enough to forget they're running.
