# kitty Alternative for Mac: An App Like kitty

Canonical page: https://macbase.app/alternatives/kitty

GPU-based terminal emulator with tabs, split layouts and scripting through extensions.

kitty is free and open source, but it is set up through config files and has its own way of doing things. Alternatives offer settings in a window, an interface closer to standard Mac apps, or other ways to split panes and run commands.
