# 1 Lightroom Classic alternative for Mac

Canonical page: https://macbase.app/alternatives/lightroom-classic

Adobe's desktop photo editor and catalog for organizing and processing large raw libraries.

Lightroom Classic needs a Creative Cloud subscription, and large catalogs can make it slow. Alternatives offer a one-time price, a free and open-source raw editor, or a faster Mac app made for Apple silicon.
