# Lightshot Alternative for Mac: An App Like Lightshot

Canonical page: https://macbase.app/alternatives/lightshot

Free screenshot tool for selecting an area, adding quick notes and uploading it to share.

Lightshot is free and simple, but its uploads go to its own sharing site and its tools are basic. Alternatives keep captures private on your Mac, add scrolling capture and text recognition, and feel more at home on macOS.
