# Mounty Alternative for Mac: An App Like Mounty

Canonical page: https://macbase.app/alternatives/mounty

Free menu bar tool that re-mounts write-protected NTFS drives on a Mac so you can write to them.

Mounty is free, but on recent versions of macOS it needs extra components installed alongside it, such as macFUSE and NTFS-3G. People look for something else when they want an app that sets up in one step, or drives that mount in Finder without any extra software.
