Canonical page: https://macbase.app/alternatives/readwise-reader

Read-later app for saving articles, PDFs, newsletters and feeds, with highlights and text to speech.

Readwise Reader comes with a Readwise subscription, which is more than some people need just to listen to articles. Alternatives read text aloud on their own, use the free voices in macOS, or focus on books and PDFs.
