# 1 Übersicht alternative for Mac

Canonical page: https://macbase.app/alternatives/ubersicht

Desktop widget tool where you build widgets with HTML and JavaScript to show info on your desktop.

Übersicht is free and open source, but every widget is written in code. If you want widgets without coding, alternatives offer ready-made ones for weather, calendars and system stats, alongside the widgets macOS now lets you place on the desktop.
