## About

Scootch lets you use one keyboard and mouse with every computer on your desk: Macs, Windows PCs and Linux machines, in any mix. Rest the pointer on the edge of one screen and it carries on onto the next computer, and the keyboard follows it. Copy on one computer and paste on another (text, pictures and formatting come across), and drag files or whole folders over the edge. Each computer keeps its own monitor; it isn't screen sharing.

It's for anyone with more than one computer in front of them, like a Mac beside a work PC, or a Mac mini and a MacBook. Install it on each computer, pair them once with a six-digit code, and lay them out in Scootch as they sit on your desk, up to 10 in all. It works directly between your computers over your own home network, encrypted, with no account and no cloud.

On the Mac, Ctrl and ⌘ shortcuts are translated, so a PC keyboard does what you expect on a Mac and a Mac keyboard does on a PC. Media keys go to whichever computer is playing sound. Files can be sent from Finder with "Scootch to" under Quick Actions. It runs natively on Apple silicon and on Intel Macs with macOS 11 or later, and it's signed and notarised by Apple.
