# The MacBase badge

Canonical page: https://macbase.app/badge

Put the “Featured on MacBase” badge on your app’s website and your listing is verified.

## What a verified listing gets

- A check mark: On your app’s page and wherever it’s listed: in its category, in search, on the home page.
- A followed link to your site: Verified listings link to their website with a dofollow link. Unverified listings get a nofollow link, so there’s no backlink without the badge.
- Reviewed first: Verified listings go ahead of the others in the review queue, and they show in the Verified filter.

## How it works

1. Copy the code from your listing and put it on your app’s website, on the home page or in the footer. Any page that links to macbase.app will do.
2. Press “Check my site” on your listing. MacBase reads the page, finds the link, and marks the listing verified right away.
3. Keep it there. MacBase looks again every week; if the badge goes, you get an email and a week to put it back before the check mark and the followed link come off.

## The code

For a light site; the code on your listing links to your app’s own page, and there’s a version for dark sites.
