About Glanslate
Glanslate is a macOS menu bar translator for text you can see anywhere on your Mac. Press a shortcut, drag over text in a browser, PDF, image, or other app, and it places the translation over the original while preserving paragraphs and reading order. Whole-window selection is also available.
Translations can run on-device with Apple Translation, including offline after language pairs are downloaded, or use your own DeepL, Google Cloud Translation, or OpenAI key. Three overlay styles improve readability on photos and busy layouts, while saved translations, keyboard controls, optional Accessibility support, and screen-only capture make it practical for frequent use.
