About Taskglass
Taskglass is a Mac system monitor that explains CPU, memory, temperature, battery, energy, network and disk activity in plain English. It groups helper processes under the app that launched them, so Chrome appears as one meaningful total instead of a long list of separate processes.
Designed for troubleshooting slow, hot, loud or battery-draining Macs, Taskglass explains what each process does, why it may be busy and whether it is safe to quit. A menu bar view gives a quick overview, while a 30-day timeline helps trace CPU, memory pressure, temperature and power changes. The app supports up to three Macs and runs on macOS 14 or later.
