About Fastty
Fastty is a GPU-accelerated terminal emulator for developers, written in Rust with GPUI and Alacritty. It combines pixel-perfect typography and TUI rendering with tabs, split panes, tab tear-out, in-buffer search, a command palette, project jumping, prompt navigation, and automatic detection of URLs, file paths, and hex colors.
On macOS, Fastty supports Apple silicon and Intel, installs to Applications with a CLI symlink, and uses less than 1% CPU at idle. It also includes customizable themes, snippets, local session multiplexing, a web gateway, and MCP tools for driving real terminal sessions from AI agents.
