About KeyClean
KeyClean is a small Mac menu bar utility that temporarily blocks keyboard input while you wipe down your keys. Your mouse and trackpad continue working, so you can control the Mac and unlock the keyboard from the menu bar panel.
The keyboard can also be unlocked by holding Escape for three seconds. KeyClean runs without a Dock icon or separate window, supports opening at login, and provides access to its Accessibility and Input Monitoring permissions from settings. It supports Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later.
