About MacVM
MacVM runs macOS, Ubuntu and other ARM64 Linux distributions, and Windows 11 ARM virtual machines on Apple silicon Macs. It is designed for development, testing, separate workspaces, and experiments, with automatic Ubuntu setup and support for macOS installers, Linux UEFI ISOs, and Windows ARM64 media.
The native Mac app gives each guest its own window, process, and Dock icon. Shared folders, opt-in text clipboard sharing, Guest Tools, hardware acceleration, Retina display support, full screen, VM duplication, external-drive storage, and adjustable CPU, memory, disk, and networking settings keep machines integrated with macOS. MacVM is free and requires macOS 26 or later.
